Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
 
Location: Robins AFB, GA
 
Job Description: Selected candidate will augment the Network Infrastructure Section and its mission to support the operation and maintenance of network devices and associated network components at Robins Air Force Base, GA. This is a hands-on technical position that requires the ability to perform physical equipment installations in communications closets located throughout the base. Position requires 8 to 10 years of network experience preferably with CISCO infrastructure devices. Additional duties include but are not limited to: daily monitoring of the network infrastructure using software monitoring tools, configuring routers and switches, and responding to Service Desk tickets. Candidate must be customer service oriented and work well within a team environment.
 
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  1. A thorough working knowledge of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) concepts with 8 – 10 years of experience.
  2. Experience with networking protocols and technologies to include TCP/IP, OSPF, QoS, VoIP, VPN, Trunking, Spanning tree, and Layer 3 switching.
  3. Demonstrated experience with the operation of Cisco network switches and routers and IOS commands.
  4. Experience with any or all of the following network management software: Solarwinds Orion, Cisco works, and Solar Winds Engineering toolset.
  5. Security+ Certification
  6. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (current)
Desired Skills:
  1. Cisco Certified Network Professional is highly desirable
  2. Experience with Remedy ticketing system
  3. Wireless networking
  4. Data Center experience
Secret Security Clearance is required for this position.
